In a poll conducted in June by EdChoice and Morning Consult, 63 percent of parents said that it’s very or extremely important for their child’s school to offer advanced academic classes.
These programs are stupid. They are biased against the smartest kids, biased for math giftedness and then offer a program that does not recognize somatic or integrated cognitions which drive the highest giftedness. Parents want them so the can say their kid was in them.
They are poorly designed and run by average people who then treat the lesser gifted kids as the ideal because they mirror the teachers.
Our education systems do not teach. They just condition and all of it is to the most gifted children's detriment.
With AI replacing the cognitive we are setting our kids up for failure unless we start recognizing cognitive intelligence should no longer be the focus.
But the people running these things don't even know they have other intelligences. All of it is like watching a train hit a school bus where they are both loaded with kids. While the education administrators take home the fattesy paychecks for focusing on metrics that show is nothing of any value.
